About Canadian Sleep Surgery Clinic

The Canadian Sleep Surgery Clinic, based in Calgary, Alberta, is a distinguished semi-private, academic practice dedicated to the surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring. Founded by Dr. Jason Chau, a Royal College of Canada certified Otolaryngologist – Head & Neck Surgeon, the clinic stands as one of the few centers in Canada offering advanced surgical care in this specialized field. Dr. Chau brings a wealth of expertise to the practice, having completed his fellowship training in Sleep Apnea Surgery at the world-renowned Stanford University Sleep Medicine Center. His extensive training and experience have positioned the clinic as a leading institution for patients seeking surgical solutions for sleep-disordered breathing, attracting individuals from across Canada who have often exhausted other treatment avenues.

The clinic’s mission is to provide personalized and effective surgical treatment options for OSA, recognizing that the condition manifests differently in each patient. This patient-centric approach is reflected in their tailored treatment plans, which are designed to meet the unique needs of every individual. The clinic’s strength lies in its specialized expertise and commitment to providing excellent care, ensuring that patients receive the most advanced and appropriate surgical interventions available.

Under the direction of Dr. Chau, who also serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary’s Section of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, the clinic maintains a strong academic focus. This connection to academia ensures that the practice remains at the forefront of clinical and surgical advancements in sleep medicine. Before establishing the clinic in Calgary, Dr. Chau pioneered the multi-disciplinary Sleep Disorders Clinic at the University of Manitoba and was the director of the Manitoba Sleep Surgery Clinic, the first of its kind in Canada. This pioneering spirit continues at the Canadian Sleep Surgery Clinic, which remains a unique and vital resource for patients across the country.

The clinic’s reputation for excellence is underscored by the overwhelmingly positive feedback from patients. With a high rating on platforms like RateMDs, patients consistently praise Dr. Chau for his surgical skill, professionalism, and compassionate bedside manner. The administrative staff, including the surgical coordinator and receptionist, are also frequently commended for their efficiency, kindness, and dedication to providing the best possible care. This combination of a highly skilled surgeon, a supportive team, and a commitment to patient-centered care makes the Canadian Sleep Surgery Clinic a trusted and sought-after destination for those suffering from sleep apnea and snoring.
